PhD Fellowship application - CLOSED

Information

A Consortium of 12 European Universities and 14 associated partners including 9 private companies, under the coordination of the Universidad Autonoma of Madrid, offers 15 fully-funded 3-year PhD fellowships within a European Joint Doctorate Program in Theoretical Chemistry and Computational Modelling (EJD-TCCM), funded under the framework of the Innovative Training Networks of the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Action ITN-EJD-642294. TCCM.

Research

The research projects are focused on three fields:

  • Molecular materials: to design new materials with special properties that open new applications in nanoelectronics, nanomagnetism, gas-sensing, gas separation or catalysis.
  • Biomolecules at the frontier for new therapies: To extend the modelling techniques of biomolecules to new problems in the frontier of physics, chemistry and biology by treating the interaction with photons for the design of photostable drugs or new photosensitizers for cancer phototherapies or by treating the interaction with ions to design new methods for structural characterization, or the interaction with highly charged heavy ions for cancer treatments.
  • Energy: to design more efficient compounds for photovoltaic organic cells and to design new materials for energy storage.
How to apply

To apply, the candidate has to fill the online form and attach some documents listed in the documents section. In the application form, you can choose up to 5 projects from the list of the projects offered in order of preference. You have to keep in mind that you have to fulfill the Mobility Rules for the projects choosen.

As we said above, during the application, you will choose projects from the list. This means that with one application form you are applying for a number of projects (up to 5). Therefore, it is not necessary to send an application for each of them. Besides, Five is the maximun of projects in which you can apply.

Tips

  • Before applying, you should ensure that you comply with the mobility rule for each project chosen.
  • In section projects of the form, you have to write the acronym of the projects ESR1, ESR2, ESR3, etc.
  • Be careful writing your email address, it is used to send you a confirmation email, if you do it in a wrong way you won’t receive it.
  • Remember that the way in which you have to upload the corresponding documents is explained in the documents section which is in the left side menu.
